One of our personal highlights last year was the success of our inaugural Great City Chefs competition. Like all new ventures we started small and tested the waters cautiously but we had no reason to be nervous because it was such a triumph! So, this year we thought ‘go big or go home’ and we have invited some of our friends at Searcys venues to take part as well.
This year the competition will be slightly different, we will have chefs representing four venues One Moorgate Place, 30 Euston Square, the kitchen at Allen & Overy and a team made up from St. Pauls and the Exclusive events Team whose dishes in each round will battle it out to find out which is the most popular. Then, a panel of expert judges will assess all of the dishes entered into the competition and design a menu that flows from starter to dessert.
Similarly to last year we will be celebrating seasonal British ingredients and asking our chefs to be creative, try something new and experiment with new culinary techniques. They will be assessed on this criteria by a panel of judges and a few of our clients.
So keep an eye out for the low down from each round and see how the competition develops.
In the meantime why not take a look back on Great City Chefs 2017?
